Characteristics of Nerello Mascalese

Nerello Mascalese is a Sicilian red grape known for its refined profile, fine tannic structure, and pronounced sapidity. In Etna wines, a bouquet of red fruits, fine spices, Mediterranean herbs, and mineral notes often emerges, with a freshness that makes the sip dynamic and very gastronomic. It is a red that can be immediate or deep and complex, depending on the contrada, altitude, and winemaking style.

The selection also includes labels linked to individual contrade and crus, such as Contrada Sciaranuova, Guardiola, Feudo di Mezzo, Rampante, Moganazzi, Santo Spirito, Montelaguardia, Pianodario, and Contrada Marchesa: names that help to read the nuances of the territory and choose the wine that best suits one’s taste.
