Valle Reale Wines: elegance and identity of Abruzzo
The Valle Reale collection gathers a selection of Abruzzese wines that accurately tell the character of the mountains and the expressive strength of the Popoli territory. Here, the vine grows in a unique environment, between the Gran Sasso and Majella ranges, where altitude, temperature fluctuations, and poor soils contribute to defining wines with an authentic and recognizable profile.
On Italian Wine Selection, you will find the wines from the Valle Reale winery designed for those seeking territorial labels, clear and consistent in style, from Trebbiano d’Abruzzo to Montepulciano d’Abruzzo, up to Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo and vineyard selections like Vigneto Popoli and San Calisto. An ideal proposal to explore the most refined face of Abruzzese wines.
The Valle Reale territory
The winery was founded in 1999 in the Popoli area, in a natural context of great landscape and viticultural value. The vineyards are located between 400 and 500 meters in altitude and are characterized by lean soils, rich in skeleton, sand, and clay. The harsh climate and strong temperature fluctuations favor a slow maturation of the grapes, which is completed only at the end of the season. This approach gives rise to taut, deep wines that are never excessive, capable of expressing the grape variety and origin with clarity.
The labels in the collection
The Valle Reale selection includes white, red, and rosé wines that cover various consumption occasions and different styles at the table. The Trebbiano d’Abruzzo is a classic choice for those who love characterful whites, fresh yet with good flavor substance. The Cerasuolo d’Abruzzo offers a more gastronomic and versatile interpretation of Abruzzese rosé, while the Montepulciano d’Abruzzo doc and Montepulciano d’Abruzzo doc Vigneto Popoli enhance the more structured and territorial side of the grape variety. Among the most identity-driven expressions are the San Calisto Montepulciano di Abruzzo and the Trebbiano d'Abruzzo, Fermentazione Spontanea non filtrato VIGNA CAPESTRANO, two labels that powerfully convey the personality of the winery.
