Description
Tal Lùc 2012 Passito Bianco Venezia Giulia IGT by Lis Neris
Tal Lùc 2012 is a refined white passito with great personality, predominantly made from Verduzzo with a small addition of Riesling. It is a wine for meditation and after meals that combines sweetness, freshness, and depth of flavor, elegantly interpreting the territory of Venezia Giulia and the distinctive style of Lis Neris. The careful processing of the grapes and the prolonged drying contribute to creating a rich, complex wine that is never excessive, capable of combining concentration and drinkability.
Territory and wine style
This Venezia Giulia IGT originates in San Lorenzo, on a gravelly limestone plateau that gives lift and a mineral imprint to the sip. The 2012 vintage was characterized by challenging climatic conditions, but the slow harvest allowed for the selection of grapes capable of best expressing the philosophy of the wine. The drying on racks for about 120/130 days, conducted in a controlled environment, is one of the keys to its profile: it preserves the aromatic integrity and promotes an elegant sweetness, supported by sapidity and freshness.
Tasting notes
In the glass, it presents the richness typical of a fine white passito. On the nose, mature and enveloping sensations emerge, with fruity hints and a fine texture reminiscent of honey, dehydrated fruit, and more complex nuances given by evolution and maturation in wood. On the palate, the wine is full and soft, but not cloying: the sweetness is balanced by a pleasant sapidity and a minerality that elongates the sip. The finish is long, persistent, and harmonious, with a balance that makes Tal Lùc 2012 particularly engaging.
Recommended pairings
It is ideal with structured desserts that are not overly sweet, such as apricots stuffed with amaretti, fruit tarts, or preparations based on almonds. Its complexity also makes it excellent with blue cheeses and foie gras, where sweetness and sapidity find a very elegant balance. It can also accompany moments of slow tasting, paired with dry pastries or at the end of a meal, when looking for a wine capable of elegantly concluding an important occasion.
Serving temperature
Serve Tal Lùc 2012 at about 10 °C, in order to enhance freshness, aromatic precision, and taste harmony. If stored for a long time, it can benefit from a few minutes in the glass to express itself with greater complexity, without the need for decantation.
Why buy it
