Description
Vino Nobile di Montepulciano 2015 D.O.C.G. Vintage Release
The
Vino Nobile di Montepulciano D.O.C.G. Vintage Release 2015 Avignonesi is a Tuscan red of great balance, made from pure Sangiovese and designed for those seeking an authentic, elegant, and pleasantly contemporary wine. The Avignonesi winery sensitively interprets the character of the Montepulciano territory here, creating a harmonious, enveloping wine suitable for immediate enjoyment as well as further aging in the bottle.
Territory and wine style
Produced with Sangiovese grapes, this wine expresses the characteristics of its territory in a balanced and harmonious way. Medium-bodied, with sweet and well-integrated tannins, it offers an elegant and distinctive taste profile. After ten years of aging, it is now presented in perfect maturity, with fully developed complexity and harmony. For the label, Avignonesi and Bonvini 1909 present a project signed by Carlo Stanga, which reinterprets Le Capezzine, a symbolic place of Avignonesi and a historic model farm. A great vine, symbolizing life and deep roots, intertwines with figures and objects from peasant tradition and viticulture. Surrounding it, the hills and buildings of the estate, with Montepulciano in the background, evoke the connection between nature, human labor, and wine. A poetic image that celebrates Vino Nobile di Montepulciano as the fruit of harmony between land, history, and community.
Vintage 2015
A correct production load, particularly for Sangiovese, a good vegetative-productive balance, moderate water stress, and favorable weather during crucial phenological phases are all elements that contributed to a vintage of great harmony. Harmonious wines with warm and enveloping shapes, on the canvas the marriage between light and matter. The right weather variables allowed for the creation of powerful and elegant wines.

Organoleptic Notes
Pale garnet red color, with typical brick hues of aged Sangiovese. On the nose, it is very intense and, in the glass, it juggles a swing of aromas. The initial fruitiness of cherry and ripe plum evolves into tertiary and balsamic aromas, with Mediterranean notes of underbrush, thyme, eucalyptus, and a light finish of leather, cocoa, and tobacco. On the palate, the entry is opulent, the body enveloping and fleshy. From mature and warm traits emerge sweet and well-defined tannins. Cherry and plum jam return, accompanied by vanilla and thyme. Broad on the palate, it expresses ethereal grace and harmony. Over time in the glass, it enriches with elegant nuances of wilted violet and dried orange peel. It has aged early but well, a spokesperson for a vintage with the highest thermal peaks of the last 15 years. Time has polished its freshness, enhancing the typicity of Nobile di Montepulciano, 100% Sangiovese. To be enjoyed today or tomorrow, more than in a wide time horizon.
