Etna Bianco 2023 Doc Contrada Sciaranuova Tenuta Tascante Tasca D'Almerita

 CONTRADA SCIARANUOVA ETNA BIANCO 2023
Tradition and new techniques come together in search of a meeting point, achieving
a balance between people with different experiences and nature, the identity of the territory. In this case, the
peculiarity for Etna whites is the adoption of a Guyot pruning system. We chose a soft pruning, preserving the two natural
axes, seeking a balanced vegetative-productive relationship, even though there is no historical precedent for Carricante.

We selected and harvested the grapes from the most suitable part of the vineyard in Contrada
Sciaranuova, covering about half a hectare. The bunches were pressed and fermented
entirely in a 25hl Slavonian oak barrel, at controlled temperature. Here the
wine, after fermentation, “rested” and evolved on its fine lees for a
year.

GRANDE VIGNA SCIARANUOVA

A vineyard located at 730 m above sea level on the North Side of the Volcano in the municipality of Randazzo,
planted by the Tasca family in 2017. The Tenuta Sciaranuova extends for about 14 ha, of
which 4.9 ha are planted with vines surrounded by a chestnut grove for the remaining area. Type of
pruning is Guyot.
