Minerva Orange Beer Sorrento Brewery
Beautiful brown color with pigeon blood highlights with abundant, persistent and winking cappuccino-colored foam. Nose characterized by caramel with definite roasted notes reminiscent of dried fruit with slight hints of smoked, hints of cocoa, orange citrus and chestnut honey.
On the palate, it is soft and velvety from the first sip even though in a territory dominated by caramel and more roasted malts reminiscent of dried fruit (roasted hazelnuts in the lead) that gradually lead us to a complex aftertaste due to the union of smoky notes from the malts and the bittering and aromatic notes imparted by the hops. Like its sister brew Syrentum it benefits from elegant and refined packaging, appropriate for the tables of the most prestigious restaurants.
Although Minerva has a well-structured body, it allows itself to be drunk with relative ease but knows how to exalt itself at the table as an ideal pairing with foods of different types, first and foremost with grilled meats, whether with a fine chianina steak fiorentina, horse steaks or pork tack. It is very ductile in the kitchen both as a reduction of sauces for elaborate dishes such as stews and casseroles, to be offered with sure success in the cooking of the famous Belgian specialty known as carbonade flamande. We remain in Belgium with the most classic of pairings for of amber ales with medium-aged cheeses flavored with celery salt. The toasty notes then go exceptionally well with chocolate desserts.
