Morellino di Scansano Poco per Pochi DOCG Single Wooden Case
It is called "Poco per Pochi" and it is the latest wine, just born, of the Cantina dei Vignaioli del Morellino di Scansano, a historical Maremma reality and a reference point for the area: five grape varieties and five types of casks for a new challenge under the banner of good cooperation, integration and innovation.

Planting density: 3500 / hectare

Altitude: 150 meters above sea level
Age of vineyards: 20 years
Harvest time: between mid and late September
Fermentation method: the grapes are harvested with a slight degree of over-ripening; this is followed by red vinification at low temperature (max 27°C) for 8-12 days, racking and passage to new 225 L. barriques. Alcoholic fermentation ends in wood, and malolactic fermentation is naturally activated a few weeks after the end of alcoholic fermentation
Maturation: in barrique for 24 months, with fine lees during the first 8-9 months
Aging: in bottle for at least 12 months
Aging capacity: the Poco per Pochi is a wine for long aging, to start drinking after 5 years from harvest.
Description: it is an elegant ruby red wine with pleasant notes of red fruits (plums, blackberries and cherries) and well blended spicy notes. A well-structured wine, it is dry but round on the palate with a fruity and elegant finish and soft tannins.
Food pairing: perfect with cured meats appetizers, first courses with meat sauces and meat main courses
