Bricco 2018 Barbaresco DOCG Pio Cesare

Variety: 100% Nebbiolo 

Vineyards: The vineyards of Cascina Il Bricco, owned by the Pio family, in the commune of Treiso. A careful selection of very ripe grapes. 

Vinification: In steel, at fairly high temperatures. Maceration on the skins for about 12 days. 

Aging: About in 30 months in French oak: 70% new barriques; 30% 20-hectoliter barrels. 

Notes: Powerful and structured, rich in ripe fruit, soft, spicy. 

Sweet, ripe tannins. Very long-lived.

Produced in small quantities and only in particularly fine vintages.
