Brunello di Montalcino Riserva 2013 DOCG Fuligni
In the greatest vintages, Fuligni select a Brunello Riserva, as by law aged for 5 years, about 3 of which are in wood. The Riserva grapes tend to come from the oldest vineyards and the Brunello produced with them certainly has characteristics of extreme longevity but immediately reveals its important quality and pleasantness, susceptible to an evolution that can span several decades, depending on storage conditions. Fuligni Reserves are present in the cellars of the greatest collectors and represent an excellent investment thanks to the important market and auction quotations.
Fuligni's Brunello di Montalcino Riserva comes from vineyards located in the heart of the Montalcino area. It is made exclusively from Sangiovese grapes. Fermentation takes place in temperature-controlled stainless steel tanks. The wine then ages in barriques for 36 months before being bottled. This Brunello di Montalcino is characterized by a luminous garnet red color with delicate ruby highlights. The nose opens with an elegant aromatic bouquet with hints of thyme, bay leaf, licorice and anise, enriched by pleasant spicy notes. The palate is elegant and pleasantly complex, with refined tannins and a long persistence. Perfect with roasts and stewed meats, it is ideal with game and aged cheeses.
