Ribolla Gialla 2012 IGT Venezia Giulia Josko Gravner Magnum
Josko Gravner 's Ribolla Gialla 2012 is a unique white wine, an authentic expression of the winemaking tradition of Friuli-Venezia Giulia. Josko Gravner, a visionary winemaker and pioneer of natural wines in Italy, has revolutionized the way wine is made through the use of ancestral methods and a deep respect for the land. His winery, located in Oslavia, in the heart of Collio Goriziano, is renowned for its use of buried amphorae from Georgia and long macerations on the skins, which give the wines incomparable complexity and structure.
Characteristics
Ribolla Gialla 2012 is made from pure Ribolla Gialla grapes from old vines grown on soils rich in ponca, a sandstone marl typical of the region. Harvesting is done manually with a rigorous selection of the bunches. The grapes ferment spontaneously in large buried terracotta amphorae, with maceration on the skins lasting about six months. The wine then ages for six years in large Slavonian oak barrels and rests in bottles before release.
