Champagne Blanc de Blancs Henriot
The Blanc de Blancs Henriot is the keystone of the Henriot style, at once mineral and complex. It bears witness to all the virtuosity of the House in its work with Premiers and Grands Crus, as well as its history closely linked to the great chardonnay terroirs.
The art of blending
Derived essentially from the Premiers and Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs, including Mesnil-sur-Oger and Avize, it also incorporates 40% of the Maison's precious Reserve wines. It is only after resting 4 to 5 years in the darkness and coolness of the Reims cellars, under the watchful eye of Laurent Fresnet, the Chef de Cave, that this 100% chardonnay cuvée can be tasted. This wine is dosed at less than 8g/l. The Blanc de Blancs blends contain a small part of Cuve 38. This wine, elaborated as a perpetual reserve and composed of 100% Grands Crus of chardonnay, is exclusive to the Maison and expresses all the essence of its professionalism and originality.
The senses
The colour is pale gold, sparkling and crystalline. In the glass, the perlage is lively and animates a procession of fine, delicate bubbles. On the nose, there is an intense minerality and freshness. Aromas of citrus and sun-ripened peaches. A bouquet of fresh flowers; honeysuckle, orange blossom and a linden blossom. Initially fruity notes such as lemon and dried apricot, then pastry; with a characteristic hint of fresh butter. In the mouth, it is at once dynamic, broad and powerful. The fresh lemon note lingers and melts into buttery brioche notes, with a tail of quince and acacia honey. A mouth-watering, fresh and delicious persistence to finish.
