Giorgio Anselmet realizza questo vino con in mente i bianchi di Borgogna. Nel 1988 acquista il clone 9636 a Mersault, nel cuore della COte-d’Or. Le barbatelle sono state impiantate a Saint-Pierre, a 880 s.l.m., in terreno sabbioso con marne bianche, esposto a sud. Il mosto non chiarificato riposa per 18 mesi in barrique francesi.
